What is TriageGO™

An electronic health record (EHR) embedded tool to support triage decisions in the emergency department (ED). The tool uses routinely available data at triage to stratify patients to optimal service lines based on the risk of hospitalization or critical care needs.

How TriageGO™ Works

TriageGO™ leverages machine learning technology to issue triage level recommendations based on patients’ risk of in-hospital mortality, intensive care unit (ICU) admission, emergent surgery and inpatient hospitalization in tandem. Risk predictions are generated from patient demographics, complaint, vital sign, and active medical history data routinely available in the EHR at triage. TriageGO™ is used to drive aggregate reductions in ED length-of-stay by enabling: (1) increases in fast-track service streams to facilitate timely management of all patients and (2) accelerate care transition to critical care resources. The TriageGO™ tool is easily customizable to hospitals’ unique patient populations, practice patterns, and organizational objectives.
